Paper submission guidelines
In order that the articles appear in the best conditions, the editors of Analytica Iranica ask authors to provide their contribution as an attachment to an email message and write it in accordance with the rules of presentation:

1. Volume of article
In order that the Editor of the magazine, run by editorial constraints, is not required to intervene on the length of the text presented, the authors have to respect the volume about twenty pages, maximum 48 000 characters (a page printed contains 2400 characters). The volume includes notes, bibliography, illustrations and tables. For the final submission, the text will be accompanied by a summary in French (and if possible in English) of about 1000 signs, as well as keywords and at least seven books or articles as sources reported.

2. Font and transliteration
The authors who use foreign words transliterated (like Persian) must use a unicode font, otherwise their transliteration can't be considered, either in hard copy or in the on-line. Transliteration is generally following the rules below in the appendix. For the most recent periods, it is common for many terms and names have a current transcript. In this case, we will keep this form simpler and more readily understandable for readers.

3. Signature and address
Authors are requested to mention at the end of the article their name and institutional affiliation as they wish them to appear in the publication. They are also asked to report whether they agree to have their email address appears on the paper when published.

4. Footnotes
The notes will be limited as much as possible in number, reduced to essentials. They will be presented in numbering. We will not put the references in notes, but being in short text (see below). References to newspaper articles that have no place in the bibliography will appear in footnote.

5. Reference in the text
Bibliographical references will not be included in the text. Notes footer will appear at the bottom of each page. A general bibliography may be published at the end of the article.

6. Punctuation
The standard is that any sign single or triple ( . , ...) is glued to the word that precedes it and that any sign double ( ; : ? ! ) is separated by a space.

7. Numbers
Must write 70 %, 77 mm, 1 700 000 (spaces will be in all these cases non-breaking).

8. Centuries
Roman numerals are in small capitals.

9. Citation, use of quotation marks and italics
The quotes are always quoted French "..." and in Roman characters. When their length exceeds a two-line, they should be individualized by creating a separate paragraph, indented (2 cm to the left), in a letter lower body 11 ie 10. after each citation must put a space. Italics are used for foreign words. When these terms are commonly used (if included in the dictionary), use the Latin alphabet.

10. Bibliography
The references are grouped at the end of article and presented to the following standards, in alphabetical order and, for the same author, in chronological order (for names of authors, the first letter is capitalized, the following small-caps ):
- For a book with single author: Fahandej Saadi, Rahim, français langue étrangère, analyse des erreurs (cas des persanophones), Paris, 2010, Éditions Europerse, 402 p.
- For a book with multiple authors: Chiauzi Georges and al., Maghreb médiéval.

References should be completed upon delivery of the manuscript to avoid delay: place of publication, publisher, volume or pagination.

11. Illustration
The positioning in the text or text out of various illustrations (maps, drawings, pictures, facsimile, ...) will be at the end of the article. They must be accompanied by a caption and, where appropriate, sources.
