Call for papers
We have decided to focus the two next numbers of the review Analytica Iranica to the theme of secularization in Iran. The volume III will be written in Persian, the next one in English and French.
The volume IV, as the volume III, will be directed by Dr Mohammad Reza Nikfar (philosopher and sociologist) and Dr Mahmoud Delfani (historian).
This theme will be treated under different approaches and under a period going from the XVIIIth century to nowadays.

As part of the preparation of the volume IV, we invite all the researchers and specialists of the Persian-speaking world to contribution of articles dealing with the following subjects :
- Perception of secularization by the Iranian society
- Religion versus secularization
- Secularization versus democratization
- Sharia and Iranian juridical institutions faced to secularization
- The obstacles to secularization and secularity in Iran
- Secularization and secularity according to the Iranian intellectuals
- The role of the intellectual elite in the process of secularization in Iran
- The impact of modern institutions on the process of secularization in Iran
- The constitutional revolution of 1906 and secularization
- Modern State and secularization under the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi
- The evolutions of secularization under Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi
- The Islamic Republic of Iran and the question of secularization
- Modernity versus tradition in the process of secularization
- The role of history and historiography in secularization
- Has westernization led to secularization in Iran?
- The role of literature in the process of secularization in Iran
- The contribution of the new information and communication technologies to secularization in Iran

You can also provide us all articles written in English or French and concerning the Persian-speaking world.
All the articles already published or appearing to be a simple translation of an already published worked will not be considered.
You can send us your contributions until the end of March 2012. The articles will be examined by the reading committee of the review and, if necessary, by the scientific committee of the Institute for Iranian Studies .
The author will receive an answer in three weeks after the sending of its article.
The selected articles will be published in the review and/or on the website dedicated to the review, with the consent of the author.
